Naminoue Shrine is one of Naha’s most iconic shrines, perched on a seaside cliff where you can enjoy both a solemn shrine atmosphere and a wide ocean view. As the foremost of the Eight Shrines of Ryukyu, it is also one of Okinawa’s most representative places for prayer and worship.
▲ It is said that praying at Naminoue Shrine brings safe travels and good fortune, making it “Okinawa’s first blessing spot” in the hearts of many travelers visiting Naha.
▲ Naminoue Shrine, standing on a seaside cliff and facing the blue ocean, is one of Okinawa’s most symbolic shrines, representing protection and peace.
Located on the west coast of Okinawa’s main island, Cape Zanpa is one of the area’s best-known coastal landmarks. With its pure white lighthouse, dramatic cliffs, and sweeping ocean views, it is a beautiful spot for strolling, sightseeing, and photos.
▲ Okinawa’s only climbable lighthouse, where you can go up 99 steps and enjoy a 360-degree panoramic sea view.
▲ There is also the distinctive “Blue Seal Ice Cream Bus,” a perfect spot to grab some ice cream and take memorable photos!

The seasonal “Okinawa Tropical Illuminations” won 1st place nationwide in the SDGs Excellence Award category of the International Illumination Award 2025. Hundreds of thousands of lights illuminate the palm trees and garden pathways, creating a romantic and dreamlike nightscape.

▲ Lights recreate the lotus scenery usually seen in bloom from June to August each year. The laser show, performed three times every hour, is another highlight not to be missed!
▲ A giant 20-meter whale shark lights up the night, making you feel as though you’ve stepped into a fantasy world.
