⭐Please look for the bus with the FunTOUR logo
Located in Shuili, Nantou, Checheng is the terminus of the Jiji Line of Taiwan Railways. Surrounded by mountains and water, its scenic mountain-town setting and nostalgic Japanese-era charm have earned it the title of "Taiwan's most beautiful train station." Once a thriving timber hub, it was nicknamed "Little Taipei," and today it still preserves its timber industry heritage and old-street character. Wander around the station, the log pond, and the forestry trail, browse the old street, and enjoy local snacks as you soak up the relaxed pace of mountain-town life.
▲ Stroll along the emerald-green log pond and enjoy mountain-town scenery of hills, greenery, and water birds. Walk the lakeside trail and feel the nostalgic, Japanese-style small-town atmosphere of Checheng.
▲ Every Saturday and national holiday at 11:00, don't miss the log-peeling show! The museum houses a 50-year-old rotary lathe. Step into the Timber Industry Exhibition Hall to experience the rich scent of wood and the timber heritage of Checheng.
